THE LOCATION

 Monalea Barn, Wicklow

THE EVENT

Amy Kokoszka will be guiding you through deep yoga classes opening the heart and challenging the body. All will soothing the soul. She takes elements of Navtive America traditions and elements of classical Yoga traditions and weaves them together for a spiritual journey within.

Katie Jane Sanderson will be offering thoughtful and delicious food. Including, snacks,drinks, potions and gorgeous meals to share. Katie specializes in cooking with vegetables, seaweed, fermentation and food as a form of nourishment.

This is a retreat of indulgence and magic.

THE WEEKEND

Friday

You are welcome to join us anytime after 2 pm to settle into your room and get a feel for the beautiful setting.

6pm – 7:30 Yoga Flow a practice to start the process of letting go and grounding.

7:45pm Dinner  (Karma Yoga for those who has selected that)

9:00pm – 9:30 – Yin Yoga with Yoga Nidra the magical combination for deep sleeping.

Saturday

8am wake up – nourishing smoothies, hot tea and coffee

8:30am – 11:30am Yoga workshop for building strength in your practice and finding balance.

12pm hearty nourishing lunch

Karma yoga – help in cleaning up

1:30pm – 4:30pm free time for hiking or resting and of course snacking and reading by an open fire!

4:30pm – 6:00pm a yoga flow to center and clear the heart.

6:15pm divine food and conversation.

8-9:30 pm Yin Yoga and Yoga Nirda a magical combination for sleeping.

10:30pm Bedtime.

Sunday.

8:30am wake up – nourishing smoothies, hot teas and coffee.

9am to 11am Yoga flow, how to bring a daily practice into your life.

11:30am Luscious Lunch

There is no better way to say ‘I love you’ to your body, mind and soul than a Wellness Retreat in the Wicklow mountains.

This weekend is all about you. Take time out and give yourself some well-deserved TLC and LOVE. Yoga, hikes, nature, yummy food and deep sleeps – lots of that feel good, self-care stuff we crave.

We will stretch, breathe, move, reflect, relax, nourish and simple BE, all in the beautiful surroundings of Monalea Barn.  This stunning farmhouse nestled in a quiet valley high in the Wicklow Mountains at the foot of Croghan hill truly is a complete escape.

I promise you will leave feeling rested and reenergised and with a deeper sense of love for yourself.

Joanna is just fabulous and her mindful, balanced approach to healthy eating is refreshing and inspiring. You will be very well looked after over the weekend with everything from green juices and beautiful brunches to healthy chocolaty treats and delicious dinners.

Accommodation

If you are unable to stay on Saturday night there is a one day ticket option available. 

The Overnight Stay ticket includes all meals, classes and accommodation – the Saturday Only ticket covers all classes and meals on Saturday.

There are no single rooms but all the rooms are very comfortable and quiet. If you wish to come with a friend or a group please specify the number of people and each name of the attendee in your booking.

This is YOUR weekend so if there are activities / classes that you would rather not participate in that is entirely up to you!

There’s something about the start of October that’s a perfect time to retreat. As it arrives we’ve just about transitioned from the looser schedule of Summer back into an often welcome routine. We’re back in a grove. Autumn will have announced itself fully by then with falling leaves, shorter days and fading light. It’s a transition time, the turning of the season as we prepare for winter. Its time to get cosy around a roaring fire in a barn in the middle of nowhere with others who want to do the same! 

Just 1 hour from Dublin this is simply a weekend away where you choose how you want to retreat – yoga and mindfulness, sleeping in, delicious seasonal vegetarian food, hot water bottles, hot chocolate, blankets and books in cosy corners, kicking leaves, swinging on the tree swing in the ancient orchard, hiking in the forest and doing absolutely nothing are all encouraged and available but its your choice. What I want to know is what will nourish you as you head into Winter?
