There’s something about the start of October that’s a perfect time to retreat. As it arrives we’ve just about transitioned from the looser schedule of Summer back into an often welcome routine. We’re back in a grove. Autumn will have announced itself fully by then with falling leaves, shorter days and fading light. It’s a transition time, the turning of the season as we prepare for winter. Its time to get cosy around a roaring fire in a barn in the middle of nowhere with others who want to do the same!
Just 1 hour from Dublin this is simply a weekend away where you choose how you want to retreat – yoga and mindfulness, sleeping in, delicious seasonal vegetarian food, hot water bottles, hot chocolate, blankets and books in cosy corners, kicking leaves, swinging on the tree swing in the ancient orchard, hiking in the forest and doing absolutely nothing are all encouraged and available but its your choice. What I want to know is what will nourish you as you head into Winter?
